Dear Mr. Koshy, As a member of the general public, I, Tran Jacinto, am writing in regards to a new aircraft order that Saudia should announce in the near future.
As some aircraft in the Saudia fleet continue to age and will eventually need replacing, Saudia should announce a new widebody order, which would enable the airline to properly modernize its current fleet of aircraft.The aircraft types that should be ordered are:
Airbus A350-900 Orders: 15
Airbus A350-**** Orders: 32
Airbus A350F Orders: 10
For Saudia's long-haul fleet modernization, the airline should select Airbus as the airline's preferred planemaker for this historic order, as Saudia has been relying on Boeing aircraft on its long-haul operations for many years and should switch towards Airbus for its long-haul fleet modernization plan. Saudia should plan on welcoming its first A350-**** in 2026, followed by the A350-900 also in 2026, and the A350F in 2027. Onboard, Saudia should plan on equipping the A350-**** with a First Class cabin as well as Economy Class being configured in a 10 abreast seating configuration, which would enable Saudia to deploy the A350-**** on long-range missions. On the other hand, the A350-900 should not be deployed on long-range missions and should instead only be used on short and medium range missions, with the A350-900 not featuring First Class or a 10 abreast seating configuration in Economy Class, rather the A350-900 should feature a 9 abreast seating configuration in Economy Class, as this aircraft should be deployed on regional flights only.
As a result of the historic Airbus deal, Saudia should plan on retiring its fleet of Boeing 777-300ER's by 2029 as well as the Boeing 747-400BDSF being retired by 2025, despite the Boeing 777-300ER having a relatively younger fleet age, in favor of these modern fuel-efficient jets, which should become Saudia's next flagship aircraft type. Between 2025 and 2027, Saudia should plan on leasing 4 Boeing 747-8F's from UPS, while the airline waits for A350F's to be delivered, with the leases occurring between 2025 and 2027, before the leases can expire in favor of A350F deliveries. Saudia should also equip its passenger A350's (both -900 and -1000 variants) with electronic dimmable windows (e-windows) which would enable passengers to be able to dim their window when comfortable, without having to close their window shade. Along with this deal, Saudia should plan on sending 2 Airbus A350-****'s to the Saudi Government for VIP Transport while the other 30 would be used for passenger use.
Unlike the current Saudi VIP jets currently in active service, the new Saudi VIP jets should not feature the Saudia livery and the Government should instead create its own livery, in order to prevent confusion over Saudia aircraft.
I kindly request Saudia to consider the following suggestions as potential ideas for its long-haul fleet modernization. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing these plans come to fruition and anticipating a timely response from you soon!

My husband and myself we hereby make a formal complaint against a female flight attendant on flight SV 481 on 12 Nov 2023 from Jeddah to Mauritius. To help you identify this member of cabin crew whose name tag was hidden by her uniform, during take off and landing she sat on the single seat designated for cabin crew in front of seats 48 B n 48 C and which is also near seats 47 H E D and she was the one serving food for passengers from seats number 48 A B C onwards.
That attendant was very rude.
My husband changed his place as there was noone in the middle row just next to our row, but she authoritatively asked my husband to get back to his seat. Yet 2 minutes later she allowed another passenger to change her seat and sit in that place. It seemed the passenger was known to her either a friend or relative coz during the whole flight she kept conversing with that person. In addition she never responds when calling her.
We pressed the button to call for help as there was a water leakage from the toilet and the water was coming till our seats causing our shoes to get drenched in the dirty water. We kept pressing the button during 40 to 45 mins but noone came. Finally when it was time to serve snack, we draw the attention of a male attendant on the mess we were in. He brought tissue to absorb the water which was gathered under our feet.
We had to change seats. The female attendant who was responsible to take care of passengers in our row did not care one minute even to ask if we were at ease. Her attitude towards passengers were unprofessional as if she was doing her job with disgust. Please note that we chose saudi airline expecting to get a good treatment and service but we were really disappointed.
The cabin crew in general was not dedicated to their job particularly that female flight attendant.
Therefore we want saudi airline to take appropriate action against that irresponsible member of crew who really turned out trip into nightmare. We wait for yur reply.
